Gujarat અને UTAH (USA) ને “twin states” ઘોષિત કરવામાં આવે તો તમે શું વિચારશો? આવો મેળ કેવી રીતે? Gujarat અને UTAH માં કૈક સામ્ય તો ચોક્કસ છે. ગુજરાત પાસે Utah ની જેમ Dinosaur Fossils નો ખજાનો છે.
It is believed that Gujarat has third largest reserve of Dinosaur fossils in the world and second largest hatching reserve of Dinosaur eggs. ગાંધીનગર(Indroda), બાલાસીનોર, રાઓલી, કચ્છ અને ગુજરાતનાં ઘણા ભાગો Dinosaur eggs, skin fossils, Dinosaur foot prints થી ભરેલા છે. ગુજરાતનો આ ખજાનો લોકો માટે અજ્ઞાત રહ્યો છે. ગુજરાત નાં આ વૈભવ ને UNESCO Geo Park બનાવવા ની કોઇ ગંભીર કોશિષ થઈ નથી. તાજેતર નાં વષૉ માં, Gujarat Tourism દ્વારા “Nature Park” ની ઘોષણા કરવામાં આવી છે પરંતુ આ “Nature Park” ઘણી વધારે world class સગવડો માંગે છે.
ગુજરાત માં Dinosaurs ની ઘણી જાતીઓ મળી આવી છે. T-Rex જેવી 13 જાતિઓ અને બીજી અનેક પેટા જાતિઓ ની સંભાવના Fossils દ્વારા રજુ થઇ છે. ગુજરાતના નમૅદા તટ ઊપર વિકસીત Dinosaur land વિશાળ ભૂખંડ Pangea નો ભાગ હતી. ગુજરાત માં એક નવીજ Dinosaur જાતિ ના અવશેષ મળી આવ્યા છે઼. આ નવી જતી ના Dinosaur ને “Rajasaurus narmandensis”, નામ આપવા માં આવ્યું છે. જેનો અથૅ થાય છે, “નમૅદાનો reptile રાજા”.
ગુજરાત ની Dinosaur land ફક્ત એકજ જગ્યા છે જે Dinosaurના વિનાશ ઊપર થી પણ પડદો ખસેડે છે. The dinosaurs who lived in Gujarat around 65 to 170 million years ago, were wiped off because of the impact created by meteorites. The evidence of meteorites is found along with Dinosaur fossils. ગુજરાત “Nature Park” વિકસાવે ત્યાં સુધી, “Gujjusaurous” ની કથા વાંચી અને આનદ મેળવીએ।
